BRIDGES VIII – Connecting People, Ideas and Innovation at BioCampus Cologne
On May 22, 2025, BRIDGES VIII once again brought together professionals, innovators, and employees from companies based at BioCampus Cologne and RTZ Cologne for an evening dedicated to business insights, networking, and collaboration. Under the theme “Business meets Networking,” the event offered a dynamic platform for interdisciplinary exchange in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.
Following the positive response to new formats introduced at previous editions – such as the Startup Standoff and Company Bingo – this year’s program was once again crafted with fresh ideas and a strong focus on community building.
A Diverse and Insightful Program
The evening began with a warm welcome by BioCampus Cologne and RTZ Cologne at 5:00 PM, followed by a series of inspiring Company Spotlights:
- LIMAA, presented by Dr. Fabian Mohr, Mélanie Guenter, and Nadine Hülsemann
- Nattermann & Cie. – Opella., introduced by Julian Weiske
In addition, Nathalie Waidele from Gesundheitsregion KölnBonn e.V. provided insights into regional healthcare initiatives. This was followed by an expert talk from Christoph Mundt (DHfP & BSA Academy) on the opportunities of innovative corporate health management.
Informal Exchange Over Pizza & Kölsch
Starting at 6:05 PM, participants gathered for an informal networking session with pizza, Kölsch, and interactive challenges. The casual setting provided a perfect opportunity for relaxed conversations, new connections, and creative exchange — truly embodying the spirit of: “Innovation begins with dialogue.”
Strengthening Community on Campus
The BRIDGES series is specifically designed for employees of companies located at BioCampus Cologne and RTZ Cologne. By promoting direct exchange between teams, sectors, and disciplines, the format strengthens collaboration and supports the vibrant innovation ecosystem on campus.
We sincerely thank all participants, speakers, and partners who contributed to the success of BRIDGES 8. The engaging presentations, valuable discussions, and overwhelmingly positive feedback — especially on the new event concept — highlight the importance of community-driven formats in today’s innovation landscape.
We’re already looking forward to the next edition of BRIDGES and to continuing the dialogue that drives progress.
